EXISTING USERS

Moving to the sandboxed version?

Move your iDid data with a backup before replacing an older, non-sandboxed build.

    Export from the old app.

    Choose File > Export Backup and save the .ididbackup file somewhere easy to find.

    Restore in the new app.

    Open the sandboxed version, choose File > Restore Backup, and select the backup you exported.

  3. 03
    Reconnect Git repositories once.

    macOS needs you to grant the sandboxed app access to each repository again.

The work you are doing now. Keep it visible in the main window or open it by itself in Minimal Mode.

Completed

Finished tasks stay visible until you have reviewed them. Reopen one if it needs more work.

Archive

Move reviewed work into a dated batch. Search it later without changing what was recorded.

BACKLOG

Not working on it now? Move it to the Backlog. Bring it back to Tasks At Hand when it becomes current.

Each Space keeps its own tasks, Groups, completed work, and archive. Use separate Spaces for areas that should not share a list.

GROUP

Related work together.

Groups collect related tasks inside a Space. They stay useful across Tasks At Hand, Completed, Meeting Mode, and Archive.

TASK HIERARCHY

Break work down without turning it into a project plan.

Indent tasks into subtasks, outdent them again, and reorder the structure directly from the list.

MINIMAL MODE

Keep only current work open.

Open Tasks At Hand in a smaller window. Switch Spaces, use Groups, finish tasks, and keep the rest of the app out of view.
